Full Restaurant Automation — Browns Socialhouse in Cambridge

Lighting, Shades, Audio & Video — Fully Integrated

    Project Overview

Browns Restaurant understood something a lot of operators miss: automation directly shapes the guest experience. They knew from the start they wanted lighting, shades, and audio-video fully integrated and working together. Dimming the lights gradually over 30 minutes softens the transition into evening so there's no jarring lighting change. Shades that draw automatically keep the sun out of patrons' faces. Slinger Solutions delivered a fully integrated commercial system built around that understanding.

    Client Goals

    • Seamless integration across all systems
    • Nightclub-grade sound with heavy bass
    • Ambient noise control that adjusts volume automatically as the room fills
    • Automated lighting and shade scenes tied to time of day
    • Close coordination with other trades for a beautiful finished result

    Our Solution

Slinger Solutions was responsible for lighting control, shades, audio-video, and networking — all working as one system. A Q-SYS DSP platform anchors the audio, delivering nightclub-level sound with heavy bass and ambient noise control that raises and lowers volume automatically as the restaurant gets busier. Crestron ties the whole building together, driving lighting, shades, and control from a single integrated platform. Lighting scenes dim gradually through the evening, and shades draw on their own to manage glare. We worked closely with the other trades throughout to make sure the technology disappeared into a clean, beautiful finished space.
